Our Shared Commitment

IMG_5371.JPG

Graffiti is a problem that can seriously damage the reputation of our community and adversely affect the economy and quality of life

enjoyed by our residents. Graffiti crime affects us in many ways, including:

  • Higher taxes for clean-up
  • Lower property vaule
  • Heightened fear of crime
  • Cancellation or reduction of education and recreation programs

Graffiti is any writing, drawing or symbol applied to any surface without the consent of the property owner or their agent.

Graffiti that is not removed can indicate that no one cares about the state of our community. A clear message must be sent to those responsible that this type of activity will not be tolerated. The most effective method of deterring Graffiti Crime is removal within 24 hours.

If you have been a victim of graffiti, please file a Mischief to Property Report online.

The information you provide will help determine if any other similar acts of graffiti have been committed within our community and could help identify those responsible. If you witness someone causing mischief through graffiti please call 911.
