Friendly Call Program
The Greater Sudbury Police Service provides a vital link between the Police Service and the Community through the Storefront Friendly Call Program which is a complimentary service for Greater City of Sudbury senior citizens and shut ins.
How Does the Program Work?
This program links our Storefront Volunteers who are qualified callers with the individuals that would like to receive a regular call to inform them about community events, check on their well being and have a friendly conversation.
Application to the Program
The application process is very quick and can be done over the phone. We will have a few simple questions to ask about the individual interested in receiving a friendly phone call and an emergency contact for this person. We encourage anyone who would like to receive a friendly call, or if they know of someone who would benefit from this program to contact the Greater Sudbury Police Service Volunteer Coordinator at 705-675-9171 x 2335 or by email at email@example.com.
