Public Complaint System

As of October 19 2009, the province of Ontario implemented a new public complaint process. The Office of the Independant Police Review Director (OIPRD) was established as a civilian agency that is not associated with any Police Service in the province of Ontario.

If you have a complaint about the conduct of a Police Officer, about the services or policy of the Greater Sudbury Police Service, you may file a formal complaint by contacting the OIPRD directly (link below) or by attending at Police headquarters and completing an OIPRD - How to Make a Complaint Against the Police or OIPRD - Dealing with Your Complaint by Local Resolution form.  Our Service will forward your complaint to the attention of the OIPRD who will maintain jurisdiction of the complaint until it is resolved.
