41 year old Man Arrested and Charged After Home Invasion

Around 6:50 a.m. on June 16, 2021, we were called in relation to a Break and Enter in progress on Brebeuf Street in Greater Sudbury. Information provided was that a man had removed the back door of the residence from its hinges and entered the home.

Officers from our Patrol Operations arrived within minutes, entered the home and took the man into custody.

39 year old Man Arrested and Charged with Child Pornography Offences

On June 10, 2021 the Greater Sudbury Police Service Internet Child Exploitation and Computer Forensics Units working in collaboration with our Emergency Response and Intelligence Units executed a Search Warrant at a residence in Greater Sudbury.

As a result of the investigation, 39 year old Tyler Chapman was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:

Around 8:45 p.m. on June 4, 2021, we were called in relation to a motor vehicle collision on Lasalle Boulevard around 100 metres East of Barrydowne Road. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with one of the drivers involved in the collision and detected alcohol on his breath.
