Officers investigating IPV-related homicide – 63-year-old woman deceased, 32-year-old, woman injured

UPDATE

Shortly before 11:30 a.m. officers located the 36-year-old, man in a wooded area off Alder Street with injuries that appear to be self-inflicted. He was taken into custody without incident. Due to the nature of his injuries, he has been transported to the hospital for medical treatment, however he remains in police custody.

The 36-year-old, man is being charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada;

Canada Day – Science North and Bell Park

Officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service Integrated Traffic Safety Unit and Patrol Operations will be on patrol again this Canada Day regulating the safe flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Roadways around Bell Park, Science North, Health Sciences North and several intersecting streets will be monitored for prohibited parking.

Vehicles parked in prohibited areas, on grassed areas, sidewalks, or obstructing driveways and/or intersections will be ticketed and/or towed.

Death investigation of 19-year-old, Roch Renaud - Ontario Provincial Police

As a result of a Chief’s complaint on June 13, 2025, an investigation has been initiated into the actions of two, off-duty police officers on May 23, 2025. As the allegations have not yet been substantiated, their names will not be released at this time. Both officers have been suspended with pay in accordance with section 209(1) of the Community Safety and Policing Act (CSPA).

UPDATE 4 – Assist to locate person involved and youth arrested in Peel Region – Clemow Ave Homicide

UPDATE 4

Based on the ongoing investigation into the homicide on Clemow Avenue on June 13, 2025, detectives have obtained images (attached) of an individual known as “W’ or “Felix” believed to be involved in the shooting.

The individual is described as being between 5’10” – 6’2” tall. It is believed that the individual sustained an injury to his right hand during the incident. It is also believed that this individual may live in Southern Ontario. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
