Police investigating threat at Ecole Notre-Dame

Around 2:30 p.m. on May 8, 2024, officers were dispatched to École Notre-Dame in Hanmer in relation to a threats complaint.
A student located a handwritten message on a piece of paper warning of a threat to individuals at the school. The message did not detail the type of threat. The piece of paper was found in a bathroom in the school. The student brought the piece of paper to staff who contacted police.
Officers are actively investigating the matter to determine the credibility of the threat....

On May 3, 2024, members of the Break, Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit observed a motor vehicle with unauthorized license plates being driven on MR35 in Chelmsford. On Friday, May 3, 2024, the Ontario Women in Law Enforcement (OWLE) hosted its annual Awards Gala in Brampton honouring female police service members from across the province in Major Award Categories and through Length of Service Awards.
