We truly appreciate all of the sacrifices being made by our community and our community members in order to comply with the Provincial and Federal Legislation that has been put into place to stop the spread of COVID-19.
We also know that many of our community members are concerned that individuals and businesses are not following the Orders that have been issued.
In order to ensure consistency, we are working in collaboration with the City of Greater Sudbury to address these concerns.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on April 5, 2020, we were called to a disturbance involving a man believed to have a conducted energy weapon (CEW) in his possession on Adie Street in Greater Sudbury. Upon arrival the Officer saw two men fleeing the scene on foot.

Scratch Tickets - A BEAR Necessity During Convenience Store Robbery

Around 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2020, we received a call regarding a Robbery that had just taken place at a convenience store on Lasalle Boulevard. A man had entered the store with his face covered, displayed a knife and stole over $700 of scratch tickets before fleeing the area on foot. The employee was not injured during the interaction.
Patrol Officers arrived on scene minutes later and set up containment until the K9 Unit arrived.

Woman Charged with Arson After Early Morning Fire on Whittaker Street

Around 6:15 a.m. this morning, Thursday, March 26, 2020, Greater Sudbury Fire Services were called to a fire at a residential building on Whittaker Street in Greater Sudbury. Fire Services was able to quickly extinguish the fire that was contained to one unit in the building. There were no injuries, however the residents of the building had to be temporarily evacuated and have since been able to return to their homes.

In November of 2019, the Greater Sudbury Police Service Integrated Crime Team (I.C.T.) working in collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.)
