Fatal Collision on Maley Drive Claims Life of 44 year old Man

Around 11:30 p.m. on May 2, 2021, we received a call regarding a single vehicle collision at the roundabout on Maley Drive at Lansing Avenue involving a motorcycle.

Police along with City of Greater Sudbury Fire Services and Paramedic Services were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, Paramedics located the driver and lone occupant of the motorcycle unresponsive. Two 34 year old Men Arrested and Charged in Relation to Fatal Fire on Bruce Avenue

Through the investigation, Detectives have identified a third and fourth person believed to be responsible for the fatal fire that claimed the lives of three community members.

Detectives Charge 24 year old Man with Firearms Trafficking

On March 30, 2021, members of our Criminal Investigation Division executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a residential building on Cedar Street in relation to an active Firearms Trafficking investigation.

At the time, Detectives were following up on firearms and ammunition that were seized during unrelated Search Warrants earlier this year within Greater Sudbury.
