Man Arrested in Connection to Multiple Thefts of Catalytic Converters

At 10:40 a.m. on January 16, 2021, we were called in relation to a Theft in progress on Montague Avenue in Greater Sudbury. Information provided was that a man wearing dark clothing could be seen laying under a parked truck attempting to cut out the catalytic converter.

Officers arrived on scene minutes later and went down the laneway where the man had been seen. The Officers found two catalytic converters in a snowbank; however, the person responsible for removing them was no longer there.

34 year old Man Arrested and Charged as Result of ICE Investigation

On January 14, 2021 our Internet Child Exploitation (I.C.E.) and Computer Forensics Units in conjunction with our Emergency Response (Tactical) and Intelligence Units executed a Search Warrant at a residence in Greater Sudbury. 

As a result of the investigation, a 34 year old man was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Make Child Pornography
  • Access Child Pornography
  • Possess Child Pornography x2
  • Distribute Child Pornography

Expect to see us out conducting random R.I.D.E. checks anywhere, at any time. Although there is a province-wide stay-at-home order in effect, as long as there are motorists on our roadways, we'll be out there making sure they are driving sober. Looking to Speak with Pedestrian Involved in Collision on MR 15 in Chelmsford

We are looking to speak with a pedestrian involved in a collision with a pick-up truck on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Around 7:45 a.m. on January 12, 2021, a pick-up truck came into contact with a pedestrian on Municipal Road 15 just South of Bonin Street in Chelmsford.

The pedestrian left the scene without providing a name. The involved Driver has been identified and spoken to; however we are looking to speak with the involved pedestrian.
