Police MKWA Opportunity Education Circle - Mentorship Program

Today, we held the opening ceremony for our annual Police MKWA Opportunity Education Circle - Mentorship Program. 

Since 2005, the GSPS Indigenous Liaison Unit has been hosting our Police MKWA Opportunity Education Circle for Indigenous high school students in Sudbury. Since its inception, 266 students have participated in the program and six of those students are currently Police Officers.

62 year old Man Arrested and Charged with Child Pornography-related Offences

On February 22, 2023, the Greater Sudbury Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) and Computer Forensics Units working in collaboration with the Integrated Crime Section, executed a Search Warrant at a residence in Greater Sudbury.

As a result of the investigation, 62-year-old, Rae Cameron was arrested and charged with the following offences:

• Access Child Pornography x6

• Possess Child Pornography x6

• Make Available Child Pornography x6
