Just after 11:00 a.m. on January 18, 2021, we received a call of a Suspicious Incident that had occurred on the Kingsway. The exact time and location of the incident are unknown; however it is believed that the incident occurred sometime after 10:10 a.m. in the westbound lanes heading towards Downtown.

Just before 3:00 a.m. on January 16, 2021, we received a call regarding an Unknown Trouble on Frood Road after a community member was flagged down by a woman who appeared to have been beaten.

Around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021, we received a call regarding a single snowmobile collision on OFSC Trail C111D approximately 10 kilometers North of Moose Mountain Mine Road. Members of the Rural Community Response Unit and Traffic Management Unit attended the scene.

Man Arrested in Connection to Multiple Thefts of Catalytic Converters

At 10:40 a.m. on January 16, 2021, we were called in relation to a Theft in progress on Montague Avenue in Greater Sudbury. Information provided was that a man wearing dark clothing could be seen laying under a parked truck attempting to cut out the catalytic converter.
Officers arrived on scene minutes later and went down the laneway where the man had been seen. The Officers found two catalytic converters in a snowbank; however, the person responsible for removing them was no longer there.
