56-year old Teacher from St. Charles College Arrested and Charged with Sexual Offences

On June 23rd, 2022 we received a complaint of inappropriate behaviour and touching at St. Charles College, involving a 56-year old male teacher and students under the age of 16. Due to the sensitive nature of the incident and in order to protect the Survivors’ identities, no further details will be provided.
As a result of the investigation, on June 30th, 2022, Detectives of the Major Crime Unit arrested and charged the 56-year old man with the following:
- Sexual Assault x2
- Sexual Interference x2

Around 9:35 a.m. on June 21, 2022, we were called in relation to a Weapons complaint on Durham Street in Greater Sudbury. Information provided was that two men were seen exchanging what was believed to be a hand gun.

Volatile Situation on Fleming Street Ends Peacefully After Seven Hours

Around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022, Officers were dispatched to a residence on Fleming Street in Val Caron in relation to a Weapons complaint. Information provided was that a neighbour dispute had taken place that resulted in a man threatening to shoot community members outside of a residence.
