Serious Single Vehicle Collision on Paris Street

Just before 2:40 p.m. on September 15, 2022, Officers were dispatched the area of Paris Street at Ramsey Lake Road in relation to a serious, single vehicle collision.

GSPS Relay for Reconciliation: Meet Cst. Kevin Powell

We are humbled to announce our first annual Truth and Reconciliation Relay. From September 1st to September 30th, GSPS members will be logging their daily kilometres completed during work outs, walks, runs, etc. with a goal of completing one kilometre per child that never returned home from Canadian residential schools. UPDATE - Fatal Collision at Intersection of Lasalle Blvd/Barrydowne Rd Claims Life of 23 y/o Woman

UPDATE

As a result of the ongoing investigation into the fatal collision that took the life of a 23 year old young woman and seriously injured a 31 year old man, the driver of the vehicle, 34 year old, Chad Rienguette has been charged with Dangerous Operation Causing Death and Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm.

He appeared in Bail Court this morning, September 14, 2022 to answer to the charges.

Fatal Collision on Radar Road Claims Life of 42 year old Man

Shortly before 5:55 a.m. this morning, September 13, 2022, Officers were dispatched to a serious collision involving two vehicles on Radar Road.

Information provided was that two vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision, leaving both drivers trapped inside their vehicles. The drivers of the two vehicles involved in the collision were the lone occupants.

With the assistance of City of Greater Sudbury Fire Services, the drivers were removed from their respective vehicles. .

Requesting Assistance to Identify Man Involved in Indecent Act Incident

UPDATE - Man Identified and Charged

The man has been identified and is currently in Police custody. He has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:
• Indecent Act
• Nudity
• Public Disturbance

His name cannot be released as the information has not yet been sworn to through the Court process. He will be released on an Undertaking with a First Appearance Court Date of November 16th, 2022 to answer to the charges.

The investigation is still ongoing.
