Three People Arrested After Robbery in Laneway

Around 5:50 p.m. on March 21, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area of Old City Hall Lane in relation to a robbery that had just occurred.
Upon arrival officers located a 39-year-old man who had sustained serious injuries from the attack. He was transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services.

UPDATEThrough the investigation it has been determined that the SUV struck the transport resulting in the driver of the SUV losing control of the vehicle. We are looking to speak with the driver of the transport in relation to the incident, as well as, the driver of the vehicle who was almost hit by the SUV when it crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic. The investigation into the collision is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the TMU at 705-675-9171 extension 2421.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m. on March 18, 2023, officers were dispatched to a residence on Drummond Avenue in relation to a person in crisis.
Due to the potential of violence and the presence of weapons, members of Patrol Operations set up containment of the residence as the individual was alone inside the home.

Around 2:45 p.m. on March 13, 2023, officers were dispatched to a residential building in the area of Lasalle Boulevard and Keewatin Court in relation to a person in crisis.
Due to the potential of violence and the possible presence of weapons, members of Patrol Operations set up containment of the building as it was believed that the person was alone, inside the residential unit.

Man Located with Serious Injuries on Larch Street at Paris Street - Four People Charged

Around 7:45 a.m. officers responded to an Ambulance Assistance call in the area of Larch Street at Paris Street. Upon arrival officers located a 49-year-old man who had sustained serious injuries as the result of an assault. He was transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services
