Missing person 62-year-old Rae Cameron located deceased

UPDATE
Around 4:30 p.m. on June 10, 2023, staff at Health Sciences North located an individual deceased inside their vehicle in the parking lot of the hospital.
It has been confirmed that the deceased individual is missing person 62-year-old, Rae Cameron. A postmortem will be conducted through the coroner’s office to assist in determining the cause of death.
At this time, foul play is not suspected.

Detectives conducting homicide investigation after two youths were stabbed on Falconbridge Road

UPDATE 3
Overnight, both youths attended headquarters and surrendered to police in relation to the stabbing on Falconbridge Road that claimed the life of a 17-year-old youth and left a second youth with serious injuries.
A 16-year-old, youth has been charged with First Degree Murder, Attempt Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Just before 9:40 a.m. on June 11, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area of Elm Street at Lorne Street in relation to a weapons complaint. Information provided was that a man appeared to have been stabbed and required medical attention.
Upon arrival officers located the 29-year-old man who was transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services with serious, life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital in critical condition.

Over $205,680 worth of drugs & handgun seized after traffic stop on vehicle involved in thefts

In April, the Greater Sudbury Police Service received two theft complaints involving what is believed to be the same suspect vehicle. Information provided was that on April 18, 2023, a flat bed trailer and a Bobcat mini excavator were stolen from a business on O’Neil Drive West in Garson and on April 25, 2023, a generator was stolen from a business on Maley Drive. In both situations, it is believed that the same Dodge Ram was used to commit the thefts and remove the pieces of equipment.
