On June 23rd, 2022 we received a complaint of inappropriate behaviour and touching at St. Charles College, involving a 56-year old male teacher and students under the age of 16. Due to the sensitive nature of the incident and in order to protect the Survivors’ identities, no further details will be provided.
As a result of the investigation, on June 30th, 2022, Detectives of the Major Crime Unit arrested and charged the 56-year old man with the following:
- Sexual Assault x2
- Sexual Interference x2
The man appeared in bail court on today’s date.
Based on the investigation, there are concerns that there may be other Survivors. We sincerely hope the arrest of this man will empower other Survivors of sexual assault to report their experiences to Police.
