Record Suspension Process
If you have been free of criminal convictions for a period of time you may apply to the Parole Board of Canada for a record suspension (formerly Pardon Application).
All applicants should be aware that the Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is the only Federal agency authorized to order a record suspension. You do not need a third-party company or lawyer to apply for a record suspension. The record suspension process can be completed by individuals themselves, directly to the Parole Board of Canada. To learn more, visit the Record Suspensions section of the Parole Board of Canada.
To apply for a Record Suspension, you must download and complete the application forms from the Parole Board of Canada.
