The Greater Sudbury Police Service Board is seeking an experienced law enforcement executive at the confirmed rank of Inspector or above, who has the skills to lead and support over 440 dedicated GSPS staff members.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) champions community safety, security and wellness for the City of Greater Sudbury – geographically the largest municipality in Ontario – by reducing situations of elevated risk and holding offenders accountable.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service Board is seeking a Chief of Police whose leadership will inspire the trust and confidence of the police service and of the community.

“The Board and Service were very well-served by Chief Paul Pedersen over his ten years with us,” said Board Chair Al Sizer. “The Board is now looking for an inspirational leader to take us into the future. This is an exciting opportunity for leaders in the policing community to be part of the new Executive Leadership Team at the Greater Sudbury Police Service.”
