**UPDATE**
As a result of the investigation, a vehicle used by the two individuals during the Break and Enter was located at the residence.
Upon searching the vehicle, Detectives located a firearm that had been reported stolen out of Sault Ste. Marie in 1979, as well as, over $700 worth of Fentanyl, 16 tablets of LSD and 10 Codeine pills.
The 49 year old man and 32 year old woman have been additionally charged with the following;
- Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Firearm
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance
Both individuals were held in Police custody overnight and they will attend Bail Court today, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 to answer to the charges.
**ORIGINAL**
Just before 10:00 a.m. this morning, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, we received a call regarding a possible Break and Enter in progress at a residence on Church Street in Garson. A family member was alerted by video surveillance equipment installed outside of the home and immediately contacted Police.
Members of the Integrated Crime Team and Patrol Officers arrived minutes later setting up containment of the residence. Officers could see that there had been a forced entry made to the home through a door that was clearly damaged.
Around 10:15 a.m. members of the Tactical Unit arrived on scene and made entry into the residence, locating and arresting two individuals without incident.
A 49 year old man and 32 year old woman have been charged with Break and Enter with Intent and Theft Under $5,000.
