At 7:55 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019, a man entered a convenience store on Elm Street and demanded money from the cashier. Another customer entered the store causing the man to flee on foot with a single item of minimal value.
Officers arrived on scene moments later and were provided with a description of the man.
Just before 12:30 a.m. this morning, Monday, December 2, 2019, the man entered a convenience store on Notre Dame Avenue and demanded that the cashier open the till. The employee stated that he was unable to open the cash register and the man fled the store on foot.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m. the same man entered a fast food storefront on Notre Dame Avenue, stated “this is a Robbery” and demanded that the employee open the cash register. The man once again fled the scene on foot; empty handed as there was no money in the cash register.
Officers arrived minutes later and found the man on Murray Street.
None of the employees were injured during their interactions with the man.
29-year old, Robert Shewell has been charged with Robbery x3.
He was held in Police custody and attended Bail Court today to answer to the charges
