Requesting assistance to identify individuals responsible for assault in parking lot downtown

Shortly after 12:05 a.m. this morning, October 18, 2024, officers were dispatched to a parking lot at the intersection of Cedar Street at Young Street (image attached) in relation to an Assault as Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services were responding to an individual who required immediate medical attention.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 29-year-old, man who had sustained serious injuries. He was transported to hospital by Paramedics where he remains in stable condition.

At this time, it is unknown how many individuals were involved in the assault. It is believed that there were witnesses to the assault, however, there were no witnesses on scene when police arrived.
