Requesting assistance to locate driver and vehicle involved in fail to remain on Third Avenue

UPDATE
The driver at the time of the incident has been identified and the vehicle involved in collision has been located, a Subaru Forester.

The driver of the vehicle has been issued a part III summons under the Highway Traffic Act for Fail to Remain.

ORIGINAL

Just after 6:35 a.m. this morning, April 17, 2024, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Third Avenue in Greater Sudbury.

Information provided was that at approximately 6:12 a.m. a light blue Subaru sedan was traveling northbound on Third Avenue when the vehicle left the road, traveled onto the lawn of a residence and struck two unoccupied vehicles in the driveway. The driver of the vehicle drove off towards the Kingsway.

The collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles in the driveway.

The blue Subaru involved in the collision will have extensive damage to the front bumper (image attached).
