UPDATE:
On November 6, 2023, the Traffic Management Unit concluded its investigation into the collision on Skead Road on October 7, 2023, that resulted in four youths being transported to hospital, two with serious injuries. The investigation included the reconstruction of the collision and the execution of multiple search warrants to gather evidence.
As a result of the information gathered from the search warrants and the evidence from the scene of the collision, the driver, a 16-year-old youth from Greater Sudbury has been arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle x2
- Stunt Driving
- Speeding (152 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr zone)
The youth was released on an appearance notice and summons to appear in Youth Court on January 18, 2024.

Around 8:30 p.m. on October 7, 2023, officers attended Skead Road for a single collision.
The investigation indicated that the vehicle was travelling West on Skead Road when the driver lost control and the vehicle left the road. The vehicle rolled several times, causing injuries to the occupants.
Five people were in the vehicle at the time of the collision. Four of the individuals were transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Service for medical treatment. Two of the individuals transported to hospital suffered serious injuries.
The collision is being investigated by the Traffic Management Unit and the investigation is ongoing.
