UPDATE
Through the ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting on April 21, 2023 at Overtime Sports Bar in Greater Sudbury that took the life of a 22-year-old man, Detectives have obtained additional images of the person believed to be responsible.
It is believed that the individual responsible for the shooting is a young person (under the age of 18), therefore Detectives have applied for and been granted permission to release the images pursuant to a judge’s order under Section 110, subsection 4, of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The authority to publish a young person's identity ceases after five days or with the apprehension of the young person. The images will be removed from all publications on May 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. as per the judge’s order. This is a legislative requirement and shall be adhered to as it is a matter of Federal law.
It is believed that this individual is from Southern Ontario, however, anyone with information related to this person’s identity or whereabouts is asked to contact our Criminal Investigations Division at 705-675-9171 extension 2320 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.

Around 10:30 p.m. on April 21, 2023, officers were dispatched to Overtime Sports Bar on Notre Dame Avenue in relation to a weapons complaint. Information provided was that multiple men were involved in a verbal altercation leading to one of the men shooting another man with a gun.
The 22-year-old man sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries in hospital and was pronounced deceased by medical professionals.
The other men involved in the incident including the man responsible for the shooting (images attached), fled the area prior to police arrival.
This is believed to be an isolated and targeted incident and there is no immediate threat to the general public.
