On January 23, 2023, 37-year-old, Mark West was arrested on an Arrest Warrant in relation to 13 commercial Break and Enters that took place between October 2022 and January 2023.

Detectives from the Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit of the Integrated Crime Section in our Criminal Investigation Division connected him to 13 active Break and Enter investigations spanning over a three-month period. The numerous B&Es were committed across Greater Sudbury including in the areas of New Sudbury, Minnow Lake, Downtown and the West End.

As a result of the arrest, he has been charged with 31 Criminal Code offences including Break and Enter x13, Fail to Comply with Probation Order x13, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and Trafficking Property Obtained by Crime x4.

Mark West attended Bail Court on January 25, 2023, to answer to the charges.
